The Butlers had only just moved to Eydon when Barbara had to return to America, leaving Todd on his own. A small group of us took him to the Royal Oak and when the pub shut, Todd invited us back for a nightcap. At about 2am, he decided it was time to have pizza, so out of the freezer it came and we had a good old feast. On Barbara's return, she was mortified to learn this had happened because the living room was furnished with just two folding deckchairs – the rest of their furniture being in transit.
