Amongst Todd’s many attributes he had one outstanding ability which would not be apparent unless you worked closely with him. All engineers and designers when faced with a problem can come up with a solution, but Todd, having done this, would start a fresh page and produce another solution. After an  hour or so there would be six or seven completely different and novel solutions from which one could pick the bones and decide on the ultimate approach. A rare and fantastic gift!
